There are many fiberglass pools manufacturers available on the today’s market and each manufacturer offers its own pool shapes and sizes. Some shapes are similar to other and some are very unique. Unfortunately not all fiberglass pools manufacturers are innovative and most don’t spend time and their money to make their line of pools better.

So how do you choose the one for you?
You need to consider several aspects at the time of choosing a brand:
1. History of the brand
2. Location of the factory
3. Availability of local to you distribution yards or pool depots
4. Surface color upcharge
5. Warranty of the product
6. Innovation & presentation

History
Why Brand history is important? If pool manufacturer offers lengthy warranty you need to make sure that the factory has been on the market for a long time otherwise you don’t have any reassurances that it will be there when or if you need it.

Location of the factory
As you probably already know that the fiberglass pools are being made at the factory and distributed to the dealers via wide load trucks in one piece. The cost of such transportation can range between $7 and $12 per mile depending on the size and traveling routes. If you choose the pool that has been manufactured 1,000 miles from your location you can assume that you will need to cover the cost of freight. Some larger factories freight their pools to their distribution yards in bulk quantities to reduce the cost of transportation. Now you see that factory location plays essential role in the final cost of your project. As a conclusion you need to narrow your search for the pool by the proximity factor.

Local distribution yards
If manufacturer has distribution yard nearby your project location the freight cost should be much less vs delivering directly from the factory.

Surface color
Most of the time factory upcharge the cost of the surface color. Some include the cost into the deal, yet might have higher cost of their pools. Some factories run special deals with no upcharge on the color.

Warranty
Some fiberglass pools manufacturers offer bogus warranties that technically don’t have any value whatsoever! You need to clearly check every word on the warranty papers before making determination.

Innovation & Presentation
By the look at the factory website you can quickly determine whether or not the manufacturer cares about its appearance to the consumer. What manufacturer invests to promote its public presence is cross related to how innovative they are with their actual product.
